A new semester calls for new ideas, exciting research, and, of course, good company! 🍕 We kicked off the semester with a great research colloquium (FoKo), bringing together familiar faces and welcoming new perspectives.

We were especially happy to have Ellen Laupper join us as she is approaching the final stages of her dissertation – the finish line is in sight! 🎉 We also welcomed Sarah Siepelmeyer, who is now affiliated with our group as an external PhD student and will be teaching a course next semester. Sarah gave us an interesting insight into her research. 👏Anni Overlander also shared highlights and insights from her research stay at Cornell University this September. We appreciate the opportunity and a big thanks to Valerie Reyna and her entire lab for hosting Anni. 🫶🏽

After an afternoon full of research discussions and exchange, we wrapped up the day with a relaxed post-FoKo dinner over pizza. 🍕😋

A big thank you to all our speakers for their contributions and to everyone who joined us! Here’s to a semester full of inspiring research, fruitful discussions, and great collaborations! 🚀
