Alexander received his PhD in Psychiatry and has held numerous clinical, research and teaching positions including a project manager for the Stroke Riskometer project. In 2019 he was granted fellowship from the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK indicating his international recognition in higher education teaching and learning with emphasis on teaching in culturally diverse environment.
Alexander’s main area of research and clinical interest is neurodegenerative and cerebrovascular diseases, prediction and prevention of mental disorders and promotion of mental health using regular pathways and novel digital technologies. Besides that, he is also interested in transcultural psychiatry, psychology and anthropology as well as new pathways in learning and teaching.
