Alejandra joined the iScience group in Spring 2019. She is a computer scientist interested in the social aspects of virtual agents and machine learning. Specifically, she is interested in the subjective human perception of objective features, such as human body shape, facial expressions or even social inequality: how to investigate them using computational methods, how does language relate to this subjective perception and how to feed the gained knowledge back to the machine in order to improve artificial agents. Until Fall 2017, Alejandra was a postdoc in the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems, Perceiving Systems Department, where she is still affiliated. For further information click here.
